In 2012, Rhodes Shopping Centre in Sydney upgraded the car park with the latest available equipment including a Sensor Dynamics LPR system. Car park management had detected that local staff were cycling their cars in and out of the car park, taking advantage of the free parking grace period. The LPR system was set up to charge vehicles on their second visit and fixed the problem completely. Operators run reports on the LPR system and can see tailgates that are have occurred. When offenders are detected on their next visit, they are shown photographic evidence of the tailgate and lost revenue is recaptured.

Key Features

  • Licence plate details printed on ticket
  • Live video from the gates

“The Sensor Dynamics LPR system has become the quintessential aspect of our car parking system. It is the key to what we regard as a very successful car park operation and we could not imagine running such a car park system without them.”
